Here are some of our top pet safety tips for summer from our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caringpawsanimalhospital.com\/staff\/\">compassionate team<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keep Summer Celebrations Safe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Summers are synonymous with celebrations involving family and friends, but not all of the festivities are appropriate for pets. Keep these summer pet safety tips in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remind guests that you have a strict \u201cno sharing\u201d rule, and keep <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspca.org\/pet-care\/animal-poison-control\/people-foods-avoid-feeding-your-pets\">dangerous foods<\/a>, including alcohol, chocolate, raisins and grapes, foods containing xylitol (an artificial sweetener), and bone-in meats out of reach of pets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consider keeping your pet in a quiet room during parties, and make sure your pet\u2019s microchip information is up to date in case your pet should run away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Insects are in full force during Florida summers. Make sure your pet is properly protected against fleas and ticks, parasites, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caringpawsanimalhospital.com\/blog\/pardon-me-can-you-pass-the-ear-wax-ear-mites-in-pets\/\">ear mites<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consider leaving your pet behind when visiting summer festivals.
